소니코리아 방송장비 부문 B&P 사업부(bp.sony.co.kr)에서는 최장의 수명, 최상의 디자인, 최고의 성능을 선보이는 소니 콤팩트 프로젝터 VPL-E200 시리즈 4종과 VPL-D100 시리즈 5종을 출시한다고 밝혔다. 이번 신제품은 소니 콤팩트 프로젝터의 강점인 화질과 강한 내구성, 긴 램프수명의 장점을 더욱 발전 시키고 부가 기능을 더한 혁신적인 제품이다. 30년 이상의 소니 프로젝터 노하우를 통해 인정받아 온 업계 최고의 기술력을 콤팩트 프로젝터에 적용하여 대중화 시킨 제품 라인업이다.
콤팩트 프로젝터 VPL-E200 시리즈는 VPL-E100 시리즈의 후속 모델로 VPL-EX221/EW225/EX241/EX271의 총 4종으로 출시되며, 2700 ANSI lm 에서 3700 ANSI lm에 이르는 다양한 해상도를 지원하고 와이드 해상도(WXGA) 모델이 추가되어 소비자의 선택의 폭을 넓혔다.
VPL-D100 시리즈는 VPL-DX120/DX125/DW120/DX140/DX145의 총 5가지 모델을 선보이며, E200 시리즈와 유사한 제품 기능을 탑재하면서도 더욱 작은 크기로 2600 ANSI lm에서 3200 ANSI lm의 다양한 해상도에 와이드 해상도(WXGA) 모델도 출시되어 작지만 강한 매력을 선보인다.

두 제품은 기존 제품보다 약 1,000시간 길어진 7,000시간의 램프 수명을 지원하여 업계 최고 수명을 보장하는 소니 프로젝터 기술력을 보여준다. 또한 정지 화면에서 자동으로 램프 밝기를 조절하는 오토 램프 디밍(Auto lamp dimming) 기능과 투사 이미지를 감지하여 어두운 화면은 어둡게, 밝은 화면은 더욱 밝게 램프 밝기가 자동으로 조절되는 절전 기능이 탑재되어 프로젝터를 더욱 오래 사용할 수 있다. 더욱 진보된 3LCD 구조와 소니 고유의 브라이트 이어러(Bright Era) 기술이 적용된 패널을 탑재하여 선명한 화질과 생생한 컬러를 구현한다. 여기에 프레젠테이션, 영화, 게임 등의 다양한 상황에 적합한 프로젝터 환경 선택이 가능하여 상황에 따라 최적화된 고품질의 이미지를 구현할 수 있다.
또한 USB 동글 연결 시 무선으로 프레젠테이션이 가능하며, 화면을 4분할해서 다양한 콘텐츠를 한 화면에 동시 투사해주는 기능도 지원한다. 일반적인 USB 미디어 저장 매체를 프로젝터 후면에 꽂으면 그 내용물을 그대로 보여주는 USB 미디어 뷰어 (media viewer) 기능을 탑재하였으며, 더욱 유연해진 1.6배 줌과 개선된 투사율(Throw ratio), HDMI를 비롯한 다양한 입력 단자 등 사용자의 편의성을 고려한 기능이 적용되었다.
콤팩트 프로젝터 VPL-E200 및 VPL-D100 시리즈 출시를 기념하여 오는 9월 20일, 서울 청담동 비하이브(Be-Hive)에서 ‘VPL-E200, VPL-D100 신제품 출시발표회’를 통해 총 9종 신제품을 선보인다. 콤팩트 프로젝터 VPL-E200 시리즈 신제품 4종과 VPL-D100 시리즈 5종 모두 2012년 9월 말부터 출시 예정이다.
