새로텍, USB 3.0 2TB 외장하드‘큐티 SD-30’ 출시

국내 외장하드 대표업체인 새로텍(대표 박상인, www.sarotech.com)은 ‘큐티(CUTiE)’ 시리즈의 2012년형 신제품인 ‘큐티(CUTiE)’ SD-30’을 출시했다고 21일 밝혔다. 국내 외장하드 제조업체로서 2TB 휴대용 HDD 제품을 선보인 것은 이번이 처음이다. 2TB는 디지털 사진 40만장, MP3 파일 50만곡, 240시간 분량의 동영상을 저장할 수 있는 넉넉한 용량이다.

‘큐티 SD-30’은 USB 2.0(480Mbps)보다 최대 10배 빠른 USB 3.0(5Gbps)을 지원해 데이터 전송 속도를 크게 향상시켰으며, USB 2.0도 함께 지원해 어떤 작업 환경에서도 편리하게 사용할 수 있다.

또한, ‘큐티 SD-30’은 안전하고 강한 2.5 mm 두께의 알루미늄 하우징이 내장 HDD를 보호한다는 점이 특징. 열전도율이 높은 알루미늄 재질을 통해 발열을 최소화하여 데이터를 안전하게 보호하고, 하드디스크의 수명을 연장시킬 수 있다.


특히, 이 제품은 최신 맥북 에어, 맥북 프로를 사용하는 유저들에게 USB 3.0 지원으로 최적의 작업 환경을 제공하며, 애플의 타임머신 기능과도 매끄럽게 호환되어 맥용 백업 솔루션으로도 유용하다.

‘큐티 SD-30’은 깔끔한 블랙 컬러 제품으로 모서리 부분을 라운드 처리해 부드러운 곡선미를 살렸으며, 전원과 동작 상태를 알려주는 상판의 고휘도 블루 LED는 세련미를 더해준다. 또한, 2.5인치의 컴팩트한 크기로 핸드백 등 작은 가방에 넣어도 부담 없이 휴대할 수 있다.


아울러, 데스크톱 PC, 노트북, 넷북, 매킨토시 등 연결하면 알아서 인식되는 ‘플러그 앤 플레이(PLUG & PLAY)’ 기능과 TV, 셋탑박스, DVD 플레이어 등 다양한 디지털 제품과의 호환성이 뛰어나다.

새로텍 관계자는 “’큐티 SD-30’은 국내 외장하드 제조업체가 첫 출시한 2TB 휴대용 외장하드 제품으로, 기존 1TB 용량에 갈증을 느끼던 소비자들에게 매우 유용한 제품”이라며 “특히, USB 3.0을 지원해 윈도우 사용자뿐만 아니라, 최신 맥북 사용자들에게는 최적의 환경을 제공하는 스토리지가 될 것이며, 외관과 속도, 용량 모두를 만족시키는 제품이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

‘큐티 SD-30 2TB’는 1TB, 2TB 용량으로 각각 165,000원, 299,000원이며, 새로텍 쇼핑몰(shop.sarotech.com)과 온라인 쇼핑몰(지마켓, 옥션, 11번가, 인터파크 등)에서 구매가 가능하다.
