한국레노버(Lenovo, 대표이사: 강용남)는 오늘 스크린과 키보드를 분리할 수 있는 컨버터블 노트북인 씽크패드 헬릭스(ThinkPad Helix)를 선보였다. 이 제품은 스크린을 분리하고 젖혀 사용할 수 있는 혁신적인 ‘립 앤 플립’ (rip and flip) 디자인이 적용된 엔터프라이즈급 성능의 프리미엄 컨버터블 울트라북이다.
씽크패드 브랜드의 프리미엄 컨버터블 울트라북 제품인 헬릭스는 획기적인 ‘립 앤 플립’ 디자인으로 차세대 모바일 컴퓨팅의 기준을 새롭게 세웠다. 특별한 디자인을 통해 헬릭스를 4가지 방법으로 사용할 수 있기 때문에 사용자들은 완벽한 이동성을 체험할 수 있으며, 이를 다용도로 활용할 수 있다.
씽크패드 헬릭스는 완벽한 고성능 울트라북(노트북 모드)이다. 제품의 휴대성을 높이고자 할 때는 11.6mm 두께의 태블릿을 키보드에서 분리하면 탁월한 휴대성을 자랑하는 835g의 인텔® 코어™ i vPro 태블릿으로 변신(태블릿 모드)한다. 또한 사용자는 스크린을 키보드에 180° 뒤집어서 결합(스탠드 모드)해 비즈니스 프레젠이션을 진행할 수도 있다. 이 상태에서 스크린을 아래로 접어 태블릿으로 사용(태블릿+ 모드)할 수 있기 때문에 연결성 확장이 가능하다.

씽크패드 헬릭스는 혁신적인 디자인을 자랑하면서도 높은 성능과 생산성을 구현함으로써 컨버터블의 기준을 한 단계 높였다. 씽크패드 헬릭스는 키보드가 그 자체로 배터리의 역할을 해서 노트북 모드에서 배터리 수명이 최대 10시간으로, 업무용이나 엔터테인먼트용 모두 하루 종일 사용 가능하다. 정확한 디지타이저펜, 풀 사이즈 키보드, 기존 씽크패드 클릭패드보다 20%나 커진 5개 버튼을 장착한 클릭패드 등으로 입력성도 향상됐다. 씽크패드 브랜드 제품군 중 가장 밝은 헬릭스의 29.5cm(11.6 형) HD 1080p IPS 디스플레이(400NITS)는 어떤 환경에서도 또렷하고, 선명하며, 생생한 시각적 효과를 최대화한다.

레노버는 방문서비스(On-site 업그레이드), 고객 과실 무상수리(ADP: Accidental Damage Protection, 일부 모델만 해당), 데이터 보안 등의 이유로 HDD 고장 시 HDD를 반납하지 않을 수 있는 KYD(Keep Your Drive) 서비스 등을 옵션으로 제공함으로써 고객들의 생산성을 높이고 관리 부담을 줄일 수 있도록 하고 있다.
