There are two rubber pads in the front and two in the back for filtering vibration from the aircraft during flight.

Next is the rear indicator PCB. A single indicator can display calibration, GPS signal reception, and flight mode setting using wide range of LED light colours.

With modular mainboard and key components, Voyager 3 provides better repair convenience. However, Inspire 1 has strength in terms of design simplicity and reliability.

Next is the flight controller. Voyager 3 features DEVOF12E, Walkera’s universal controller. The Walkera DEVO series offers wide range of products in their lineup and are interchangeable.

DEVOF12E is a high-end model among Walkera flight controllers. The all-in-one controller with 5-inch display monitor does not require the use of smartphone or tablet PC. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to display resolution, colour and viewing angle. The analogue-type user interface also lacks convenience compared to placement-type controllers.

Flight controllers without display monitors are recommended for those who prefer using dedicated app on placement-type controllers. 8 standard 1.5V AA-type dry batteries or 11.1V rechargeable batteries are used. Compared to its size, the controller is lightweight and is equipped with a variety of features, including camera angle adjustment. As a universal controller, it can be used to operate other quadcopters aside from Voyager 3.

Voyager 3 can be controlled by two persons using bluetooth datalink and pad holder. The pad holder can accommodate up to 7-8 inch tablet PCs, has built-in battery, and can transfer Voyager 3 camera image to the tablet PC via the bluetooth datalink.

The left handle is expandable. This design enables the pad holder to accommodate up to 10 inch tablet PCs, however, 7-8 inch tablet PCs are most appropriate. A metal stand for placing compact size display monitors is featured on the upper end.
